Major League Baseball Players Association executive director Tony Clark said Wednesday that the union continues to monitor any developments in the case of former White Sox player Adam LaRoche, who retired after a disagreement with the club about the amount of time his son could spend in the clubhouse.
“We have a pretty good idea to what was discussed and in the fashion it was discussed,” Clark said. “Whether there is anything that happens as a result of what arrangement was in place remains to be seen.”
Clark made a stop at Sox camp to meet with players Wednesday to discuss topics affecting them now and in the next collective bargaining agreement, set to be negotiated for the 2017 season.
