Miguel Gonzalez was promoted by the Chicago White Sox to make his first start of the season on Monday night. After a shaky outing against the Blue Jays in which he allowed five runs and 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings, it is unclear if the right-hander will get another chance.
Asked if Gonzalez will start again, manager Robin Ventura told reporters, “right now we will check and see that.’’
Gonzalez was signed to a minor league deal earlier this month and did pitch effectively in two starts at Triple-a Charlotte before being called up.
