Despite the headlines ace left-hander Chris Sale created with his critical comments toward executive vice president Kenny Williams on Friday, the Chicago White Sox don't intend to trade the 26-year-old, multiple baseball sources tell Dan Hayes of CSNChicago.com.
"Nothing has changed in terms of our direction or expectations for the upcoming season," GM Rick Hahn told Hayes in an email. "We remain committed to putting this current club in as good a position as possible to contend this year."
In response to the White Sox's decision to limit Adam LaRoche's son Drake's access to the clubhouse -- which prompted LaRoche to retire -- Sale went off on Williams, saying that he "bald-faced lied" to the team.
