The Washington Nationals are among the busiest teams at the winter meetings taking place in their own backyard of Oxon Hill, Maryland. They reportedly are interested in both White Sox ace left-hander Chris Sale and Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen, but not at the expense of some prime young talent.
Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports the Nats are talking to the White Sox about Sale but will not give up NL Rookie of the Year finalist Trea Turner in the deal. Turner hit .342/.370/.567 with 33 steals in just 73 games last season.
