Miguel Gonzalez, Todd Frazier lift White Sox to 1-0 victory over Rays

White Sox right-hander Miguel Gonzalez didn't let a lengthy rain delay push him out early in his final start of the season.

After Gonzalez pitched three scoreless innings against the Rays on Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field, the teams sat through a 1 hour, 16 minute delay. But Gonzalez, who gave up only a double to Richie Shaffer in the first three innings, returned and finished with a season-high 8 1/3 scoreless innings to help lift the Sox to a 1-0 victory.

Sox third baseman Todd Frazier hit his 40th homer of the season off Eddie Gamboa in the seventh to give the Sox a lead.
