The game of musical nameplates taking place two locker doors down from Chris Sale continued Friday, when the White Sox recalled right-hander Scott Carroll from Triple-A Charlotte.
A jersey with Carroll's name hung in front of a stall that 16 hours earlier belonged to Erik Johnson, who spent all of five innings, 11 hits and four runs Thursday as a fill-in fifth starter the Sox continue to search for since parting with John Danks this week.
While Carroll found his way back to Chicago on Friday, he still hasn't located his Cadillac Escalade, which he said was stolen from Wicker Park when he left it parked on the street last August after being sent down.
