Michael Kopech said he was “a little bummed out” to have his major league debut shortened by a 52-minute rain delay, but was ecstatic with the results of his outing.
“I wanted to go a little deeper into the game,” he said. “I didn’t realize my pitch count was as high as it was (52 pitches), but either way I got to experience the debut, and it was a dream come true.”
