Matt Davidson ready for more after big season debut

After jumping all over a flat slider from Tigers mop-up man Anibal Sanchez Thursday afternoon, sending a titanic, 428-foot blast that clattered off the empty bleachers in left-center, Matt Davidson returned to an elated White Sox dugout to take in the required wave of high-fives and backslaps. After putting his gear back on the racks, he walked past the tunnel to the clubhouse, and saw the place where his 2016 season ended.

“I didn’t even realize it until probably, maybe my third at-bat,” Davidson said. “After I got done I came back when I started down the tunnel I thought, ‘man, I remember I broke my foot when I was running down this tunnel.
