Luis Robert to make first Cactus League start for White Sox

Prized prospect Luis Robert will make his first Cactus League start when the White Sox face the Reds on Wednesday at Camelback Ranch.

The center fielder, ranked the No. 28 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline, has appeared in eight Cactus League games this spring but only as a late-inning replacement. Robert, 20, is 2-for-6 with a walk and two strikeouts.

Robert did start in a “B” game Monday and went 2-for-3 with a double against Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen.

Right-hander Miguel Gonzalez will make his second start of the spring.
