The Chicago White Sox rallied from two deficits and scored three runs in the ninth inning to stun the Minnesota Twins 8-5 on Monday night in the opener of a big three-game series at Target Field in Minneapolis.
For the second day in a row, rookie center fielder Luis Robert was the hero. His 449-foot home run in the seventh tied the score at 5, and he drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth.
With one out in the ninth, Max Kepler dropped Edwin Encarnacion’s easy fly ball to right, giving the Sox a runner on first.
