Not only was Lucas Giolito's no-hitter a dominant display —his second consecutive start with 13 strikeouts— but it was an efficient one, too.

What does that mean?

It means that there has never been an MLB no-hitter with at least 13 strikeouts and fewer than 101 pitches. It's basically the exact opposite of Edwin Jackson's eight walk, 149-pitch no-hitter back in 2010.
