López Shines, Sox Host Rays Today in First of Three, Props for Prospects and More…

Reynaldo López allowed an unearned run in the first inning and blanked the Tigers for the next six frames, but unfortunately he and the White Sox wound up on the losing end of a 1–0 decision in the series finale at Guaranteed Rate Field.

López has been outstanding in his first two starts, allowing just one earned run and and four hits while posting a 0.69 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 13 innings. Six of his last eight starts have been quality.

In his debut with the Sox after being called up from Class AAA Charlotte yesterday to replace the optioned Juan Minaya, RHP Bruce Rondón struck out all four batters he faced in 1.
