Lloyd: Tyronn Lue deliberately slow played the Dwyane Wade situation. Now everyone wins

Tyronn Lue knows his way around a casino better than most. He loves the dice, but Monday showed he also knows how to slow play pocket kings.

From the day Dwyane Wade walked into Cleveland Clinic Courts, Lue wanted him to come off the bench. It always made the most sense. Neither Wade nor Derrick Rose have 3-point range, which makes playing them together in today’s pace-and-space league rather difficult.

Rose has been forced to start because of Isaiah Thomas’ hip injury. Now Rose is sidelined for at least a few more days with a sprained ankle and the Cavs are down to their third point guard in Jose Calderon.
