The earworm-worthy rendition of “Let’s Go, Go-Go White Sox,” is sure to brighten any Sox fan’s mood.
To help leadoff Hispanic Heritage Month which begins today, September 15, Inside the White Sox is proud to spotlight the talented mind behind this unique remix of a White Sox classic.
The group performing this song is Chicago’s own Latin GRAMMY-nominated ensemble of students Mariachi Herencia de Mexico (MHM), and the young man responsible for the music composition and cultural remix is 17-year-old writer and performer, Marco Villela.
The White Sox approached Marco to write a mariachi rendition of “Let’s Go, Go-Go White Sox”, and he took it upon himself to create a nice homage to the original song while paying tribute to his Mexican roots and the Latin inspirations in Chicago’s communities.
