“My plan since I was a young kid: Get yourself ready to throw 100 pitches Day 1 (of the season), be able to throw 200 innings, strike out 200 hitters and be there every five days,” Lynn said during a conference call Saturday.
He went 6-3 with a 3.32 ERA in the pandemic-shortened season, led the AL in starts (13) and innings pitched (84) and was fifth with 89 strikeouts.
