Jose Quintana limited the Red Sox to one run over eight innings, and Jose Abreu drove in three runs to lead the White Sox to a 4-1 victory over the Red Sox on Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
Quintana gave up four hits, walked none and struck out five to help the White Sox to their third straight victory and an American League-best 19-8 record.
He threw 101 pitches through eight innings, but White Sox manager Robin Ventura opted to use closer David Robertson for the ninth to protect a three-run lead.
