Jose Abreu returns to White Sox lineup against Rangers

ARLINGTON, Texas — After a three-game absence, Jose Abreu is back in the White Sox lineup Wednesday night against Texas at Globe Life Park.

Abreu is hitting third as Robin Ventura’s designated hitter against Rangers right-hander Nick Martinez after the club deemed his bruised finger ready to face live pitching.

“Everything looks good,” Ventura said. “His finger looks good. He says he’s ready to play so we’ll find out.”
