Jose Abreu becomes sixth White Sox batter to hit for cycle

White Sox slugger Jose Abreu had a sleepless Friday night while Hurricane Irma was lashing Cuba where several of his relatives, including his grandmother and son, live.

That didn't stop Abreu from recording the sixth cycle in franchise history Saturday night as he went 4-for-5 with three runs batted in during the Sox's 13-1 trouncing of the Giants at Guaranteed Rate Field. He accomplished the feat while also keeping his thoughts on Miami, where Abreu's wife lives in their house there.

"What I did (Saturday) is something important for them too," Abreu said through a team interpreter.
