After a week of confusing news for a pretty straightforward resolution to Robin Ventura’s job status, White Sox general manager Rick Hahn pulled back the curtain a little bit Monday when he introduced new manager Ricky Renteria at U.S. Cellular Field.
“It was a little over a month back that Robin and I first had the conversation in which he raised the notion that he felt it was time for the organization to make a change in the managerial chair,” Hahn said in a six-minute opening monologue at U.S. Cellular Field. “He had some personal reasons behind it which I will not go into, but at the same time, his main concern and his main focus was what was best for this organization.
