White Sox left-hander Jose Quintana has received one or no runs of support in six straight starts, the first Sox pitcher to hold that distinction since Ross Baumgarten went seven in a row from June to August 1980.
The Sox will try to change that for Quintana on Friday when they open a three-game series against the Indians at Progressive Field.
Quintana has gone 0-6 with a 4.15 ERA over his last six starts after going 5-1 with a 1.38 ERA over his first seven starts.
The Sox scored 23 runs in their three-game series against the Tigers, and they will try to continue their offensive surge when they take on Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer, who is 4-2 with a 3.
