Indians beat White Sox 9-7; Covey’s struggles continue

The White Sox seemed entirely out of the game once the top of the first inning came to an end. It wasn’t until some ninth inning White Sox magic that made the game much closer than it should have been.

Sox starting pitcher Dylan Covey gave up four first inning runs on 26 pitches. The big blow came on a Melky Cabrera three-run home run. Covey left a fastball right over the middle of the plate on a 3-2 pitch, and our old friend Melky deposited it into the right-field seats.
