As White Sox left-hander Jose Quintana battles to regain his form of the last few years, speculation grows about whether the possibility of the Sox trading him this season might be affecting him.
Sox pitching coach Don Cooper doesn't have an answer for that.
"You don't know," Cooper said. "There's no measuring stick for that."
Quintana has been discussed as a likely trade candidate ever since the Chris Sale and Adam Eaton trades began the Sox rebuild in December. Those rumors have continued through spring training and into the first two months of the season, but Quintana insists he's not paying attention.
