It’s never too early to hype the Home Run Derby, the one part of the All-Star Game festivities that never fails to draw interest.
Aaron Judge’s performance last summer in Miami was everything MLB could ask for in the annual slugfest the night before the game. The Yankees’ rookie hit 47 home runs to all fields of Marlins Park, including 16 with exit velocities of 115 mph or more. He became the first rookie to win it outright, and the second overall after Wally Joyner, a co-champ in 1986.
