A bit of hope can come just one stitch at a time. Through her Oak Lawn-based non-profit Stuffed Love, Sarah Dynia sews unique heart-shaped pillows to assist in spreading love and joy across Chicagoland and beyond. Sarah, a Northwestern senior, sends her hearts to children with congenital heart conditions. Since social distancing took effect, she’s used her extra time to send more than 12,000 heart-shaped pillows.
Stuffed Love has helped children like 6-month-old Lucy Novak (pictured above) to smile and feel loved through major surgeries. Strength of heart carries us through the toughest trials, and Sarah is giving hope and spreading kindness to those that could use a little extra right now.
