As one of the first major-league clubs, the White Sox have played a significant role in setting the standard for the gameday experience — from the first exploding scoreboard to the first player names on jersey backs. Honoring the brave men and women who serve our country is no exception.
For the past eight years, the White Sox have selected a Hero of the Game for every home game. More than 700 men and women have been honored for representing our country with bravery, courage and merit. The honor, which began on the South Side, has since been implemented by five of Chicago’s professional sports teams and around the nation.
