GIFs: Relive Matt Albers' magical top of the 13th in White Sox win

Matt Albers is a five-tool player. Who knew?

The White Sox reliever took a star turn in Wednesday's extra-inning win. With the score knotted at 1 in the 13th inning, Robin Ventura — with both his bench and bullpen nearly exhausted — had no choice but to send Albers to the plate.

Shockingly, the reliever with no hits to his name since 2007 made the most of his rare plate appearance.

Albers crushed a double to left-center field:

Hustled his way to second base:
Made his manager look like a genius:

And scored the game-winning run on Jose Abreu's sacrifice fly:
The unexpected sequence was a hoot to watch and gave the White Sox an extra-inning victory and a series win at Citi Field.
