Garrett Crochet Sets New Career-High 13 Ks In Win Over Seattle

It was a night of Garrett Crochet. The White Sox starting pitcher tossed 7.0 innings, setting a new career-high 13 strikeouts and allowing only 1 run on 2 hits. Tonight’s dominant performance brings his season strikeout total up to 116, tied for the Major League lead. His 12.63 K/9 leads all qualified pitchers.

Crochet’s run support was brought by Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr. In the top of the 3rd inning, the pair launched back-to-back homer runs to center field to put the Sox up 2–0.

In the bottom of the 5th, Garrett Crochet’s lone earned run came on a Tyler Locklear home run, which cut the Sox lead in half.
