The left-hander struck out Teoscar Hernández looking, got Randal Grichuk to line out to center and struck out Lourdes Gurriel Jr. swinging in an impactful inning.
The Sox scored five in the bottom of the inning on the way to a 6-1 win. Crochet earned his second career victory and more experience in navigating around a tough offense.
“Just knowing that I can go out there in a leverage situation like (Tuesday) night and go three up, three down against a really good offensive club, building confidence as we’re getting into the heat of the season,” Crochet said during a conference call Tuesday.
