After 21 years of professional baseball, former White Sox pitcher Freddy Garcia has retired.
Garcia spent the last two years in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League playing for the Tigres de Aragua. He made his final start on Sunday.
Garcia played a total of five seasons with the White Sox on two stints. He started and notched the win in Game 4 of the 2005 World Series when the White Sox swept the Houston Astros.
Garcia, 39, spent 15 years in the MLB with seven different teams. He was last seen in the majors with the Atlanta Braves in 2013.
