Former White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo was involved in a really weird double play

Former White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo, who plays for the Chunichi Dragons of the Nippon Professional Baseball League, was involved in a really weird double play this past week.

In a matchup against the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, the play started with Viciedo at the plate and a runner on first.

The 28-year-old Viciedo hit a rocket up the middle, but the ball was cut off by the second baseman after a nice diving play. The second baseman's only play was at first, so he hauled it over for the safe out. But the ball hit the dirt, and when the first baseman attempted to scoop it, it bounced off his glove and flew in the air.
