Ryan Raburn didn't hear personally from any White Sox fans, but he could understand if there were some giddy reactions from them when he signed a minor-league contract with the team April 8.
The 36-year-old outfielder is waiting at Triple-A Charlotte for a possible opening with the big-league team, which would likely come because of trade or injury, but his presence in the organization means he can no longer hurt the Sox from the opposing side.
Raburn earned the reputation of Sox killer over his 11-year career after hitting .296 with 22 doubles, 20 home runs and 82 RBIs in 122 games against them while with the Tigers, Indians and Rockies.
