The White Sox didn't exactly break the bank on free-agents last winter, so they have tried to come up with new ways to create a buzz such as:
•A jumbo-sized video board at U.S. Cellular Field.
•New Sox caps designed by Chance the Rapper.
•Food trucks in the Loop giving away free samples of the tasty ballpark fare at the Cell.
Baseball, big screen TVs, music and grilled sausage products are close to the hearts of most South Siders, so the Sox definitely had their four basic needs covered.
Now comes the hard part: Getting those video-loving, munchies-munching, cap-wearing fans into the ballpark and convincing them to return more often.
