As Major League Baseball prepared for a season unlike any other, the White Sox filled the seats at Guaranteed Rate Field with FANtastic Faces, cardboard cutouts of fans displayed at the ballpark during the highly anticipated but abbreviated 2020 campaign.
In less than 48 hours, the cardboard cutouts sold out. The initiative became so popular that the White Sox announced a second opportunity for fans to score a cutout. Leading up to the Wintrust Crosstown Series on September 25, more than 3,000 FANtastic Faces were displayed, raising $100,000 for Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC). At the end of the season, the cutouts were authenticated and available for curbside pickup.
