White Sox fans got a glimpse of their future earlier this week when top pitching prospect Michael Kopech took the mound at Guaranteed Rate Field for the first time. The vibes around Chicago throughout the day were real and the place was electric, despite a 52-minute rain delay ending his major league debut early.
But he's not the only arrival the South Side is patiently awaiting.
When pressed on Monday about Eloy Jimenez's potential ETA in Chicago, White Sox GM Rick Hahn said: "He’s going to remain in [Class AAA] Charlotte at this time and continue on the path that he’s on, and we’ll certainly continue to evaluate where he’s at in the coming weeks.
