People around Chicago are stepping up to help their neighbors during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
And some of those good works have not gone unnoticed by a rising star on the South Side.
Eloy Jiménez surprised workers at the Novias Davila bridal shop in Little Village, who are working to create face masks for their community, with a donation of team uniforms and funds to support their efforts.
"I'm Latin. So for me, to help other Latins is good, especially when they come from a poor neighborhood or they don't have the help. For me, it is really good," Jiménez said in a video message.
