ST. PETERSBURG -- Adam Eaton had a spirited closed door meeting with White Sox bench coach Mark Parent, who is filling in for manager Robin Ventura this weekend, after Eaton found out that he was not starting Saturday's contest at Tropicana Field. First-base coach and outfield instructor Daryl Boston also was part of the meeting.
The left-handed hitting leadoff man was caught by surprise with sitting for a second time in three games after Saturday's lineup was made after talks with Ventura, especially after knocking out two hits and scoring two runs in Friday's 7-5 loss.
