Don Cooper expects Reynaldo Lopez’s debut to go well, but won't panic if it doesn’t

There’s nothing Reynaldo Lopez can do over these next two months with the big league club that can make the White Sox give up on him.

That’s the pledge pitching coach Don Cooper made on the eve of Lopez's scheduled debut with the team, the latest in the wave of high-profile promotions expected to continue for at least the next couple of years.

“There’s nothing he can do the rest of the year that is going to get us off him no matter what happens, good or inconsistent,” Cooper said. “I know he's got good stuff and I would expect him to do well.
