Hue Jackson gave DeShone Kizer a second chance Wednesday. It likely represents a last one for both coach and quarterback in Cleveland if they can’t show marked progress over the final 10 games this season.
That’s not being dramatic. That’s reality for Jackson and Kizer, who are part of an 0-6 team, which has won once in 21 tries since the start of the 2016 season.
Betting on the patience of owner Jimmy Haslam at this juncture is akin to betting on the Washington Generals and laying points.
And so Jackson has reinstalled the rookie as his starting quarterback after exposing Kevin Hogan and his rib cage to the marauding Texans in a 33-17 beat down last Sunday.
