Derek Holland jokingly made a confession before his first start Friday night for the White Sox.

The left-hander, whose obsession with professional wrestling is no secret, said he was near tears when former WWE superstar Rey Mysterio lost a match and was forced to take off his famous mask and reveal a face seldom seen by fans.

"I almost started crying," Holland said with a grin before the Sox fell to the Twins 3-1 in front of an announced crowd of 14,004 at Guaranteed Rate Field.
