Dane Dunning gets well-earned promotion to the High-A Dash

The Winston-Salem Dash have a new pitcher, as Dane Dunning’s reign of terror over South Atlantic League hitters has been ended after four starts, and he was promoted to the White Sox’s High-A team Friday. Dunning had a 0.45 ERA in four starts and allowed only 16 batters to reach base in 26 innings, so he was obviously overqualified for Low-A ball.

Triple-A Charlotte

Infielder Yoan Moncada singled and Willy Garcia homered, but the Knights’ game was suspended in the first inning for rain and rescheduled for a doubleheader on Saturday. It appears they will resume the game in progress, so Garcia’s fourth home run of the season will hold up.
