Any potential drama of no-hitters on consecutive days for the Chicago White Sox quickly went out the window. Instead, the Sox had to settle for another strong outing by Keuchel.
The left-hander allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and three walks in six innings, leading the Sox to a 10-3 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Danny Mendick, Edwin Encarnacion, Eloy Jimenez and Jose Abreu homered as the Sox completed the sweep of the two-game series.
Mendick’s two-run home run came during a four-run second. Encarnacion hit a solo homer in the fourth and Jimenez hit a three-run homer in the fifth.
