Cubs 7, White Sox 6: unlucky number 13

Balks, hit batsmen, wild pitches, lazy defense. What is the acronym for that? In another loss, their 13th in a row to tie for the second-longest in franchise history and tie for the longest single-season losing streak in team history, the White Sox found new and improved ways to fail at baseball.

It actually started off ideally, as Corey Julks nuked his second bomb of the season on the very first pitch of the game, giving the Good Guys a quick 1-0 lead.

Have no fear, though. The Bad Guys tied it up quickly in the bottom of the second when White Sox killer Christopher Morel singled, stole a base, and was driven home on a fielder’s choice.
