Construction on NFL's Draft Town set to begin next week

Chicago is on the clock.

With the NFL draft just over two weeks away, more ambitious plans were revealed Tuesday to entertain thousands of fans and showcase the league throughout the week with free activities in and around Grant Park. And that's not to mention as many as 55 million television viewers for the three-day draft.

The event also will attract 26 top prospects who are expected to be selected during the first two days of the draft, which runs April 30 to May 2, the league announced Tuesday. Notably, the top two quarterbacks — Florida State's Jameis Winston and Oregon's Marcus Mariota — and one of the top two receivers — Alabama's Amari Cooper — will not be in attendance.
