Leave it to a former White Sox player to help fend off the Cubs for at least one more night in the National League Division Series.

Giants third baseman Conor Gillaspie, who spent 2 1/2 seasons on the South Side, hit a two-run triple that put the Giants ahead in the eighth inning Monday night at AT&T Park before they escaped with a 6-5, 13-inning victory over the Cubs in Game 3 of the NLDS.
