Well, just because it was anticipated doesn’t make it any fun.
For the first time in the 11 years of the South Side Sox Hall of Fame voting, we have elected zero candidates from our regular Cooperstown ballot. The fewest prior inductees was way back in 2012, when Barry Larkin was enshrined all by his lonesome.
SSS voters averaged 8.28 choices per ballot (up from 8.04 last year at South Side Hit Pen); with still well more than 10 worthy players, a healthy list is a wise direction to take with your HOF ballots.
