MILWAUKEE — MLB teams slowly but surely are returning to many of their pre-pandemic routines, including the recent change allowing pregame, on-field media interviews.
Eleven months after teleconferences became the norm during Spring Training 2.0 in July 2020, MLB began allowing fully vaccinated members of the media onto fields to conduct in-person interviews with agreeable players, coaches or managers.
Media members wear stickers proving they are vaccinated to get on the field but still have to wear masks, even when talking with unvaccinated players who are not masked. Some of us refer to that as a “Cubs World problem.
