Cleaning house: Diamondbacks, Rockies, White Sox make leadership changes

As expected, we'll have a new general manager in Arizona, a new manager in Colorado, and we already have a new manager for the White Sox. Let's take a quick snapshot of the decisions made on Monday.

Arizona Diamondbacks fire GM Dave Stewart and manager Chip Hale. The only surprise is that Tony La Russa, the team's chief baseball officer, survived the purge, although it seems he'll be re-assigned to a role where he won't be able to mess things up so egregiously. "We are still discussing what the appropriate role for Tony La Russa will be going forward," owner Ken Kendrick said in a release.
