City Series: Can Sox pull off sweep of the Cubs?

The White Sox hope to make a sweeping statement Sunday, not only about their three-game series against their city rival Cubs, but also about the decisions that need to be made leading up to the July 30 trade deadline. With left-handed starter Jose Quintana (4-7, 3.81) on the mound, the Sox (41-44) seek to pull within two games of the .500 mark entering the All-Star break. The Cubs (46-40), meanwhile, will try to salvage the series finale with staunch right-hander Jake Arrieta (9-5, 2.80). Neither team has provided much offensive fireworks, although the Sox prevailed 5-1 on Saturday. One of those runs was unearned.
