White Sox ace Chris Sale said he always is a little more pumped up when he pitches at Yankee Stadium because of "the history that comes with this place," and so he continued making his own bit of history there Friday night in a 7-1 victory.
At 8-0 through eight starts, Sale has piled up victories at a rate only three other Sox pitchers — Eddie Cicotte (12 in 1919), John Whitehead (eight in 1935) and Jon Garland (eight in 2005) have matched since 1913.
He made No. 8 look easy, allowing just six baserunners in his second complete game of the season.
