White Sox ace Chris Sale came into Saturday night's start unbeaten in 2016, including a unanimous decision over Ken Williams in the Adam LaRoche battle.
A feeling of invincibility pervades the Sox clubhouse on days Sale starts, as second baseman Brett Lawrie suggested before Saturday's 7-2 victory over the Twins.
"Every time you have your ace on the hill, you feel good about the boys," Lawrie said. "Just do what he usually does."
Sale indeed did what he does, recovering from a bumpy first inning to dominate the Twins over seven and improve to a major league best 7-0.
